“Transitions for Success! ”

Presenter: Kristen Vaughn

In this lecture, Ms Vaughn will discuss daily transitions at home, in public, and in the classroom, providing information about common strategies for easing transitions and approaches for managing problem behavior that may arise during transitions. In the second half of the lecture, Ms Vaughn will discuss transitioning into adulthood (jobs, school, etc.) and the steps that should be taken to ensure success. Are you a parent, caregiver, relative, friend, professional, student, or teacher of a child with autism or other developmental disability? Come to our informative lecture series and learn how you can more effectively help that child work to his or her full potential. There is no cost to attend, and a complimentary lunch will be provided by JSC Federal Credit Union following the lecture. The presentation will be held in Lecture Hall 1100 of the Student Services Building on the UHCL campus from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
